Overview
The RF320 is a 136 to 174 MHz radio. Campbell Scientific’s RF320-series narrowband UHF/VHF radio transceivers provide a long-distance telemetry option for communicating with remote measurement stations. Each radio includes a configured Ritron DTX-L radio, a mounting bracket, and a cable for connecting the radio to a radio modem. The different models vary by the frequency ranges they support.

Technical Description
The RF320 is programmed by Campbell Scientific to the frequency that was assigned by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This frequency must be specified at time of order so that it can be programmed into the radio.
A user-supplied antenna is required for each radio; contact Campbell Scientific for more information about selecting the antenna and cable. Each radio must also be connected to an RF500M or RF310M radio modem.

Surge Protection Kit, Type N to BNC, 100 to 512 MHz
The 31332 is an RF surge protection kit with flange mounting bracket. It may be flange-mounted to an enclosure backplate or bulkhead-mounted through an enclosure wall. One side of the surge protector connects to a radio with a BNC antenna connection. The other side connects to an antenna/antenna coaxial cable with Type N connector.

RF320-Series Ritron Radio to RF Modem Cable with Frequency Select
The 31472 cable (for option -M3) is used to connect an RF320-series radio to an RF500M or RF310M. This cable comes with the RF320-series radio ordered using the -M3 option. This cable differs from part 29201 in that it connects the frequency select pin on the modem to the frequency select pin on the radio. This feature is used in "Hybrid ALERT" networks where TD-RF communications occur on channel 7 and ALERT transmissions occur on channel 8.

Cable, RF320-Series Radio to AL200
The 29291 cable (for option -M2) is used to connect an AL200 ALERT2 Encoder Modulator to an RF320-series radio (Ritron DTX-L Series radio). It has stripped and tinned wires on one end for attaching to the AL200. The DB15 male connector on the other end connects to the RF320-series radio. The cable is approximately 15 inches in length, and it provides access to the radio's Power, Ground, Aux In, PTT, CS0, and PC PGM pins.
