Device Configuration utility through NL201

gkavka Apr 28, 2017 07:20 PM
Hi. I have connect a CR300 (RF407) via RS232 to a NL201. I access to configure the NL201 over the IP network without problems.
Netlogger reads the CR300 data without any problems.
How can I access using the IP network with the "DEVICE CONFIGURATION UTILITY" to configure the CR300? Or can I only access connected via USB?
Thank you very much!

If the NL201 is set up in Serial Server mode, you can connect to the CR300 via DevConfig.  If it is set up to be in PakBus, you will not be able to connect to it using Device Configuration Utility.

Excelent! It´s working now. Thanks a lot!

Now another CR300 (named "B") is connected to the CR300 (RF407) (named "A").
"A" is physically connected to NL201 and "B" is connected by RF to "A".
Can I access with "DEVICE CONF UTILITY" to device "B"?

No.  You would not be able to talk to "B".
