AM25T in main scan AND slow sequence
05/11/11 3:26 PM

I understand from the CRBASIC help than the AM25T can be used in a slow sequence scan. What if the main scan also contains an AM25T instruction for the same unit? Does the AM25T instruction remember where is left off an reissue pulses to continue with the correct channel?

I have some channels on the AM25T that I want to read often, more than once per second, and others that only need to be read occasionally. If I can put the latter into a slow scan, then I can speed up my main scan.

This should work in theory (get a recent operating system in the logger to be sure as this was not always possible).

The AM25T though will not remember where it left off. In the AM25T instruction you specify the start channel and the logger clock the multiplexer up to that point again. This is a fairly fast process for the AM25T, being solid state.
