About Open Path EC System Sensors and Mounts
Open path eddy covariance systems incorporate eddy covariance techniques to calculate water vapor, carbon dioxide, and heat flux measurements. Customers purchase the individual components of the open-path eddy covariance system. An open-path eddy covariance system typically uses a sonic anemometer for absolute wind measurements, a gas analyzer for CO2 and H2O molar density measurements, a Kyrpton hygrometer for H2O density measurements, and a fine wire thermocouple for absolute temperature measurements.
