The CS615 has been generally replaced by the CS616, which offers a faster, less noise emissive measurement that meets CE standards. The CS615 is recommended ONLY for customers who already own CS615 reflectometers and wish to maintain consistency of product.
The CS615-L Water Content Reflectometer measures the volumetric water content of porous media using time-domain measurement methods. The reflectometer consists of two stainless steel rods connected to a printed circuit board. A shielded four-conductor cable is connected to the circuit board to supply power, enable the probe, and monitor the pulse output. The?probe rods can be inserted from the surface or the probe can be buried at any orientation to the surface.
