| 10824 | CS505 10-Hour Fuel Moisture Stick |

The CS505 requires the purchase of a 10824 10-hour Fuel Moisture Stick. The 10824 is constructed from a USFS-specified, ponderosa-pine dowel. You can easily replace this stick, in the field, by using a Phillips screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. Typical replacement schedule is every spring, but the 10824 should be replaced more frequently in areas with a large number of wet/dry cycles.

The CS505 is typically measured alongside the CS205/107 Fuel Temperature Sensor; the entire assembly is usually mounted on a 10974 Fuel Moisture/Temperature Mounting Stake. The 10974 Stake can be ordered along with CS505 purchase or afterwards as a replacement item.
