Model Description
CR800 Measurement & Control Datalogger
Temperature Ranges (hide details)
-ST -ST Tested -25 to +50C
Every CR800 is tested and guaranteed to perform within published specifications over the standard temperature range. Units are tested and shipped to standard operating range unless extended testing is specified.
-XT -XT Tested -55 to +85C
For extended temperature range testing, analog accuracies are derated approximately two times over published specifications. Extended testing covers the -55° to +85°C range. Batteries are not temperature tested.
Warranty Lengths (hide details)
-SW -SW Standard 3yr Warranty
At the time of purchase, the CR800 includes a standard warranty of 36 months. See our full warranty policy in the CR800/CR850 manual for the terms and conditions of this warranty.
-XW -XW 4yr Warr Extension
Our Extended Warranty adds 48 months to the standard 36-month warranty, bringing the total warranty period to 84 months. The extended warranty may be purchased only at the time of original product purchase. It may NOT be "added later." Except for the increased coverage length, the same terms and conditions apply to the extended warranty as apply to the standard warranty.
Calibration Certificate (hide details)
-NC -NC No Calibration Cert
The CR800 is shipped without a calibration certificate.
-CC -CC Calibration Cert
When this option is chosen, a two-page calibration certificate is shipped with the datalogger. If you are using the 21852 A2LA/NVLAP Calibration Service, you do not need to order this option because Simco will send you a calibration certificate (see below for a description of the 21852 service).
Common Accessories
17565 CR1000 or CR800 Stack Mounting Kit
The 17565 Stack Bracket allows a small peripheral to be placed under the mounting bracket, thus conserving space. The 17565 Stack Bracket is required to mount a CR800 horizontally in an ENC10/12 enclosure (i.e., the long axis of the CR800 spanning the short axis of the enclosure). Without this bracket, the CR800 can be mounted vertically in the ENC10/12 enclosure, but it will use most of the vertical space.
CR1000KD Keyboard/Display for CR1000 or CR800
The CR1000KD allows you to check datalogger status, display or plot sensor readings and stored values, and to enter numeric data or change port/flag state. One CR1000KD may be carried from station to station in a CR800 network.
CD100 Mountable Display w/Keypad (-45 to +85C)
The CD100 is a mountable display with a keypad for datalogger data entry and display. It has a vacuum flourescent display for responsive use through a very wide operating temperature range. Its operation is the same as the CR1000KD.
SC32B Optically Isolated RS-232 Interface
This Optically Isolated Interface is used to attach an AC-powered PC with the CR800. The SC32B includes a cable for connecting with the datalogger's CS I/O port, and includes another cable for connecting with the PC's 9-pin serial port. Customers who want to connect with the PC's USB port instead of the 9-pin serial port should use the SC-USB interface (see below).
SC-USB CSL Optically Isolated USB Interface, 4.9ft Cable
The SC-USB Optically Isolated Interface provides similar functionality as the SC32B, except it connects with the PC's USB port instead of the PC's 9-pin serial port.
17394 USB to RS-232 Converter DB9 Male, 6ft
The 17394 interface cable provides a USB connector on one end and a 9-pin male RS-232 connector on the other end. The USB connector attaches to the USB port on a PC, and the RS-232 connector attaches to the RS-232 port on the CR800. Cable length is 6 feet (2 m).
SC110 Two RS-232 to Datalogger Control Port Cables, 2ft
The SC110 consists of two cables, each 2 feet (0.6 m) in length. By having two cables, connection of either an RS-232 DCE or DTE device is supported, depending on the cable used.
21852 A2LA/NVLAP Datalogger Calibration Service w/Calibration Certificate
This service increases delivery time by 2 to 3 weeks. The 21852 is offered for customers who require calibration validation from an accredited calibration laboratory. When the 21852 is ordered, Campbell Scientific calibrates the datalogger, and then sends the datalogger to the Idaho National Laboratories (INL). After INL receives the datalogger, they perform a calibration validation under the A2LA/NVLAP accreditation. INL also provides a calibration certificate.
21852 A2LA/NVLAP Datalogger Calibration Service w/Calibration Certificate
This service increases delivery time by approximately one week. The 21852 is offered for customers who require calibration validation from an accredited calibration laboratory. When the 21852 is ordered, Campbell Scientific calibrates the datalogger, and then sends the datalogger to Simco Electronics in Salt Lake City, Utah. After Simco receives the datalogger, they perform a calibration validation under the A2LA/NVLAP accreditation. Simco also provides a calibration certificate.

Replacement Parts
3768 2-Pin Screw Terminal Plug Connector .2 inch pitch Straight Wire Entry 12-24 AWG Green Marked G 12V
The 3768 is shipped attached to the CR800. This green, plug-in power connector provides screw terminals for connecting the 12 V and GND wires of the datalogger's power supply. The 3768 may be purchased to replace a lost or damaged power connector.
13519 3.6V 1.2Ah Lithium Battery 1/2AA
The 13519 lithium battery powers the clock and SRAM when the primary 12 Vdc power supply is not connected.
10645 Screw #10-32 x .312 Pan Slot Brass
This ground lug is on the faceplate of the CR800 datalogger just below the green power connector. The 10645 may be purchased to replace a lost or damaged ground lug.
6554 Desiccant 1/6 Unit Bag
The 6554 Single 0.16-Unit Silica Desiccant Bag desiccates the inside of the CR800. Campbell Scientific suggests replacing this desiccant when the lithium battery is replaced.
18624 CR800 Certificate of Calibration for S/N ???
The 18624 orders a two-page calibration certificate. If you are using the 21852 A2LA/NVLAP Calibration Service, you do not need to order this certificate because INL will send you a calibration certificate (see below for a description of the 21852 service).
18634 CR800 Operators Manual
The 18634 is offered for customers who want a paper CR800/CR850 Operators Manual. This manual comes in a 3-ring binder. The price listed above is for paper manuals ordered without the datalogger. Paper manuals ordered on the same purchase order as the datalogger are available at no extra charge. However, the customer must indicate that they want a paper manual. Otherwise, they will receive a ResourceDVD containing a PDF version of the manual.
Services
18635 CR800 or CR850 Recalibration w/ Documentation,-25 to +50C
The 18635 requires an RMA (Returned Material Authorization) from Campbell Scientific. When it is ordered, we will recalibrate a CR800 or CR850 to meet original specifications. Recalibration includes standard temperature testing (-25° to +50°C). Before and after calibration sheets are supplied with the datalogger. The calibration price listed above assumes return of a fully functional datalogger; charges for all repairs will be added to the invoice.
18636 CR800 or CR850 Retested to Extended Temp,-55 to +85C
This service is available only for individual units that have previously passed Extended Temperature Testing. The 18636 also requires concurrent purchase of recalibration. An RMA (Returned Material Authorization) from Campbell Scientific is required.
18622 CR800 Tested to Extended Temp (-55 to +85C)
Every CR800 is tested and guaranteed to perform within published specifications over the standard temperature range. Units are tested to standard operating range unless extended testing (-55° to +85°C) is specified. For extended temperature range testing, analog accuracies are derated approximately two times over published specifications.
18624 CR800 Certificate of Calibration for S/N ???
The 18624 orders the two-page calibration certificate for the CR800. Unless specified, the CR800 is shipped without a calibration certificate. If you are using the 21852 A2LA/NVLAP Calibration Service, you do not need to order this option because Simco will send you a calibration certificate.
