Contemporary dataloggers that can be powered by alkaline batteries include our CR800, CR850, CR1000, and CR3000. Some retired dataloggers, such as the CR500, CR510, CR10, CR10X, 21X, and CR23X, can also be powered by alkaline batteries. Alkaline batteries are not typically used for long-term installations because the batteries must be replaced periodically. However, the availability of D-cell batteries makes them attractive for short-term applications where the batteries can be replaced quickly and easily.
We offer a battery pack that houses eight alkaline batteries for our CR500, CR510, CR10, CR10X, CR800, CR850, or CR1000 dataloggers. This battery pack also provides a cable that terminates with a connector that plugs directly into the datalogger. The CR3000, 21X, or CR23X dataloggers have integrated power supplies. The CR3000 and CR23X use ten alkaline batteries, and the 21X uses eight alkaline batteries.
