CR23X

Micrologger® for Data Acquistion

Frequently Asked Questions: CR23X

  1. Why don't I need an SC32B to connect my PC to my CR23X or CR5000?

The CR23X and CR5000 have one built into them. Therefore, they only require a cable to connect to the computer's serial port.

  2. I have been developing some applications using a 23x with the pakbus OS installed. Every so often the logger locks up and shows me the error E08 Watchdog Reset. What am I doing to trigger these messages? What can I do to keep from triggering them ?

E08 errors are occasionally created by voltage surges or transient
voltages.  Section 3-9 of the CR23X manual explains in greater detail
what a watchdog is and possible causes.  If these are happening
frequently, it is likely a problem with the system  that needs
to be resolved.  The first step in this resolution process would be
checking the system power (inputs and outputs) and verifying it is
within the expected tolerances as outlined in the CR23X or respective
datalogger specifications page (found in the overview of the manual
    OV-23 for the CR23X).
